Biography

Rinku Mehra, MD, is a pediatric endocrinologist at Children's National. Her clinical interests include Type 1 Diabetes, growth disorders, and obesity. She has conducted clinical studies on Type 1 diabetes and obesity in children and won the Midwest Society for Pediatric Research (MWSPR) Kenny Award for Best Research Presentation by a fellow. Also, at the University of Iowa, she organized and directed the Pediatric Weight Management Clinic. Dr. Mehra serves on the Resident Selection Committee at Children's National and has a strong interest in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows. Away from the office, she enjoys spending time with close family and friends, and her hobbies including gardening, running, and traveling with her husband.
