| Biography
Michael Mintz, Psy.D. is a bilingual clinical psychologist (attending) at the Child Development Clinic of Children's National Medical Center with an expertise in Autism-spectrum disorders. He began working with young children on the Autism spectrum in 2000 while studying psychology at the University of Michigan. After brief stints abroad, Dr. Mintz obtained his doctorate in Clinical Psychology from George Washington University in 2011. He completed his pre-doctoral internship at the New York Center for Child Development, a community mental health organization that focuses on early childhood development.
At NYCCD, Dr. Mintz provided bilingual, home-based therapy for children and families in Harlem, primarily guided by the DIR/Floortime model. He returned to his hometown in 2011 and completed a post-doctoral fellowship at Children's National before transitioning to a staff position at the Child Development Clinic, where he currently provides developmental evaluations for children ages 9 months to 4 years. |
