Biography

Dr. L. Kaleb Friend, MD, specializes in pediatric orthopaedic surgery with an emphasis on sports-related injuries. After graduating magna cum laude from University of Southern California, he attended the USC Keck School of Medicine. He then completed a surgical internship at Baylor and a research internship in pediatric orthopeadics at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. He spent the majority of his residency at Tulane, and transferred to Albert Einstein School of Medicine for his chief resident year. He also completed a fellowship in pediatric orthopaedics at the Hospital for Special Surgery.

Dr. Friend is an avid rock-climber and hiker, and enjoys skiing, cycling, and photography. His goal as an orthopaedic surgeon is to get his patients better faster, and get them back out on the soccer field, the basketball court, the ski slope, or the dance floor.
