| Biography |
David Stockwell, MD, is medical director of the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and has a specialized interest in cardiac intensive care. He works to ensure that families feel welcome and comfortable in intensive care units, which can be an intimidating experience. In addition to his responsibilities in the PICU, Dr. Stockwell is Children's Medical Director of Patient Safety, leading the organization in a Safety First Initiative.
Additionally, Dr. Stockwell is adept at applying the latest technology to pediatric medicine. He has designed a website specifically for pediatricians to use in their practices, pediatricsonhand.com, which was recently recognized by the Lancet, an independent and authoritative voice in medicine.
Dr. Stockwell has one child, loves fly fishing, and is an avid baseball and Kansas Jayhawks basketball fan. |
