The Telemedicine team is leading a multidisciplinary group to update and expand state of the art videoconferencing capabilities at Children's.
The cardiology learning center allows for high level conferencing and connectivity to multiple sites at the same time. For example, live ultrasound and angiographic images of patients with complex heart disease were presented by physicians in Doha, Qatar to our cardiac surgeon in Washington, DC and a Children's cardiologist who was in Boston at a conference. The Children's National Medical Center - Sheikh Zayed Campus for Advanced Children's Medicine board room and several other rooms in the hospital are currently being updated and will allow Children's to expand its leadership role in pediatric telemedicine. - Departments & Programs - Children's National Medical Center
