Ear, Nose and Throat (Otolaryngology)

The Division of Otolaryngology at Children’s National Medical Center is one the largest and most prestigious pediatric otolaryngology programs in the country. Each year, Children’s treats more than 14,000 children within the Division of Otolaryngology. The experienced team includes seven board-certified, fellowship-trained surgeons, as well as anesthesiologists with specialized training in pediatrics. Our program also includes specially trained nurses, two physician assistants, and fellows and residents in training.

The Children's Division of Otolaryngology is internationally recognized for the evaluation and management of pediatric airway disorders. Additionally, Children’s Research Institute, one of the largest research facilities for pediatrics, sits above the floors of the hospital, encouraging collaboration among researchers and clinicians. In fact, the Division of Otolaryngology has two physician researchers studying chronic ear diseases and sinusitis in pediatrics.
