Electrophysiology (Heart Rhythm Team)


Children’s National Medical Center offers one of the few programs in the Washington, DC area specifically dedicated to the treatment of arrhythmias in fetuses, infants, children, adolescents, and young adults with congenital heart disease.

State-of-the-Art Cardiac Care
Electrophysiology is a specialized service offered through Children’s Heart Institute, one of the top pediatric cardiac centers in the nation with dedicated specialists in all facets of medical and surgical cardiac care. The Heart Institute's team of physicians, nurse practitioners, and technicians understand the special needs of young patients.

Our electrophysiology specialists use state-of-the-art techniques for the diagnosis and treatment of arrhythmias such as:
